70's Flare

Hello Closet Shoppers and Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend and ready for this new week to accomplish new goals!  So lets get into these flare jeans that I just want to wear with everything.  It has been some years since I have worn flare jeans but when they came back and I saw these I had to have them especially since they are high waist jeans and I don't know about you but, I love me a good pair of high waist jeans that can hide this tire around my waist lol!  The flare on these are just so awesome I am 70's baby so I love that era of clothing and back then they were flare everything. Only thing with flare is you have to get the right heel to wear with them or you will be walking on your jeans and you don't want that.   I have on platform booties that have a very thick and tall heel or you can get your flares taken up a bit so it falls right with what ever heels you want to wear.   I just made this look really simple with this chiffon shirt and just tied it at the waist, but you know jeans go with any and everything so this won't be the last you see of these I have so many plans for them.  Hope you enjoy this post.

Little Black Velvet Dress....Holiday outfit inspo #3

Hello Closet Shoppers,

Here is another dress outfit inspiration for the holidays.  Yes it is another velvet dress but this one is short and black.  I don't have many short dresses or skirts, a lot of my skirts and dresses are midi length but this time I was like let me show off my legs lol!   This dress can be worn with OTK (over the knee) boots, calf boots or booties like I did.  I paired with my ankle booties and tights so I can show my legs and my faux fur stole and kind of give it a sexy but classy look.  Hope you enjoy this post.

What is that ..Velvet? Holiday dress outfit inspo #2

Hello Closet Shoppers,

Here is another holiday outfit to inspire you on what you can wear to holiday party for work or with family and friends.  This season velvet is making a come back and to me velvet has never left it just was silent until the holidays came around but right now it seems like it is a bigger than ever this season and I am loving it.  They have everything form boots, heels, bombers, pants, and tops in velvet this season.    If you follow me on IG you saw I wore this dress out to a friends birthday dinner but had all intentions of blogging it since it is one of the perfect holiday dresses.  I made this look kind of simple since to me velvet says a lot so you really don't need to over power it with much else since it already speak for itself.  I threw on the faux fur stole over the shoulder to give it a more classy look with my leather and some calf boots, a little accessorizing like that can make the outfit pop!  Hope you enjoy this post!

All Black for the Holidays!!! Holiday outfit inspo #1

Hello Closet Shoppers,

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend that just flew by!  Just like this month is flying by! I can't believe next week is thanksgiving and then a month form that is Christmas then New Years.  I can't believe this year is almost over, smh!  So since the holidays are coming I figured I put together a few post to give you all outfit inspo for the upcoming holidays. You all know I love a jumpsuit and I love it even more if it is all black because black is slimming and makes every lady look great!  This jumpsuit you can dress up or down.  This I would probably wear to Thanksgiving dinner.  If you have a family like mine and know that when it comes to getting together and you don't know what adventures the night might take you on so you kind of have to dress for the day.  I made this fit pretty simple and just threw on a velvet choker and my leather jacket.  Another option is to also wear it with your fave sneakers mine would be my black and white Adidas shell toes and bring my booties just in case the family wants to go out that night.  Got to stay prepared when your with family around the holiday you know? LOL!   But this can be worn to Christmas dinner with a blazer or if you have a new boo and your meeting the family for the first time for the holidays I think this or any jumpsuit is good because it is simple, comfy and effortless.  All you have to do is accessorize a little and your ready to roll. Hope you enjoy this post.

Same Turtleneck different way...

Hello Closet Shoppers,

So here is the same black turtleneck but I layered it differently.  I added a denim shirt plus my army fatigue jacket.  Remember you can layer and layer on layers!  I could have easily thrown a poncho over my jacket too or even a leather but it wasn't that cold on this day.   Hope you enjoy this post.

It's Turtleneck Season

Hello Closet Shoppers,

As you saw in my previous post I talked about transitioning from summer to fall attire by layering your turtlenecks.  It is a very simple an easy way to get more wear out of your summer clothes thru the fall season.  I love turtle necks during fall and winter it is just a quick go to for me and can be worn with a ton of outfits.  In this post I layered my turtleneck under this dress in the summer I would wear this dress with nothing underneath (undergarments of course lol)  just sleeveless and with sandals.  If your trying to figure out what to pair your turtleneck with try looking at all your sleeveless attire whether it be a camisole, bralette, tank dress or even a dress and see which one best suits going over the turtleneck and there you have your first transitional piece.   This dress can be worn as a jacket/vest open too so again this won't be the last you see of this dress.  Just an FYI the wind wanted to take over my shoot this day so just letting you know he was being a little disrespectful lol.  Hope you enjoy this post.

#OOTD Turtleneck season....

Hello Closet Shoppers,

So it is officially Turtleneck season and my next few post will be on how you transition from summer to fall with layering your Turtlenecks.  Here is a quick outfit of the day post (#ootd) of my fit I had on Sunday to go grab a quick bite to eat.  Sometimes our coats are part of our fits when it comes to the fall attire so here is how I wore one of my turtlenecks and basically layered it with my coat.   To show that your layering your coat just roll up the sleeves a bit to show it is part of your attire. This post also shows you don't be afraid to wear white or cream during this cold months white can be worn whenever and don't let anyone else tell you different.  Hope you enjoy this post.

Leather Culottes

Hello Closet Shoppers,

Today's post is all about fall and leather.  Fall is the time of year everyone breaks out their leather, whether it be a jacket, pants or shirts they break out the leather for this season.   I found these Leather culottes last winter in Bloomingdale's they were on sale for a steal so I had to have them and I mean you hardly see anyone in leather culottes so I was like why not? Right!  These culottes can be worn casually as well as dressed up.  I paired mine with suede mid calf boots, mock neck top and leather jacket, very simple but cute.  They can be worn with a t-shirt or even a jean shirt and even sneakers it's all about how you feel.  I could def wear these up until the spring so you know this won't be the last of seeing these on the blog.  Hope you enjoy! :)

Black Denim on Denim...

Hello Closet Shoppers,

Hope you all had a great weekend, even though they go by so fast!  This post is all about denim. Lately I have been on this denim x denim thing since I  found these perfect distressed denim shirts on Topshop.  You saw the blue denim one in my last post in which I paired it with my red pleated skirt and since that blue one fit so nice I just had to get the black one as well.  For the last couple months I have been looking for that perfect denim shirt and I thought I found one at ASOS but it didn't quite fit me the way I wanted it too so my search was on yet again.  But I found this one in two colors and I couldn't be more happy especially because they are distressed which makes it even better and has an oversized fit.  I don't know about you all but lately loose fitting is ok with me, because sometimes tightness can be so uncomfortable and I just want to be comfy when I step out the house.  Also it being slightly oversized helps to make the shirt more versatile and I can wear it in different ways so just wait on it because these shirts will be in heavy rotation this season shoot ALL seasons. In this post I just paid it with my black distressed jeans, leather jacket and lace up booties, for either a date night or hanging with your girls.  Very casual but cute, and also if you tuck it in or tie it up it defiantly gives it another look as well, its the piece that keeps on giving! :)  Well hope you enjoy this post, until next time.

Hello Fall....and Hello All

Hello Closet Shoppers,

I know I know its been awhile but I am back snitches! :) I am trying to be more consistent to give your more outfit ideas and tips.     Hope all is well with everyone!.  So lets just dive right into this post shall we?!  My style has slightly changed you know I still love color but I am really into black and white now and simplicity, less is more.  Sometime as women we tend to over think our fits and put more on or accessorize the fit more when it's the simplicity of it that makes it great.  So think on that next time you get dressed clean and simple wins this race!  OK so lets get into this pleated skirt!   I love a pleated skirt and I love midi skirts so when I saw this skirt  that was both and on sale at Topshop I just had to have it.  First it has an elastic waist band, what girl doesn't want that?! That just makes the fit even better well for me.  Sometimes zippers and buttons when it comes to bottoms can get on my nerves, but when I can just slide something on it is just so much more comfortable.  Any who I paired this skirt with two different tops one with a denim shirt (which you will see a lot more of this season) to give it a more casual look and one with a mock white sleeveless top and a leather jacket to kind of give it a dressed up look.  To me these tops are great transition tops from summer to fall because they can be worn with jackets or without depending on the weather and you know this fall weather on the east can be unpredictable.  this won't be the last you see of this skirt in a post you know me the repeat offender! : Hope you enjoy this post have a good day.
