Hello closet shoppers,
I know I haven't updated in awhile which will end soon just trying to figure out my new camera to bring better pics to the blog. So I just wanted to stop in and let you all know I'm in the May issue of Black Hair Magazine. In October my hair dresser asked if I would be a hair model for her to submit photos to a black hair magazine and of course I accepted. The magazine which has Mrs. Carter on the cover which is their "29th Anniversary Issue".
So of course I had to share with you all my first magazine debut lol.
Enjoy,
Nak
P.S the hairstyle is called pin curls just in case you wanted to know. And I added some out take pics of myself while waiting on the photographer.

Nail Wraps
Hello closet shoppers,
Hope your having a great Thursday so far. I am but, can some one please tell me where Spring is because apparently it missed its debut! Lol! It's soo cold here in the DMV feels like February and I'm so ready for no jackets, bare legs and sandals aren't you?
Any who a good way to start spring off is always getting a mani and pedi but sometimes we may not have the time to do it or we may want a design that out manicurist doesn't do, well here is a quick and easy solution the solution to that, NCLA Nail wraps! These are so easy to do that you can do them yourself in three simple steps. The directions are on the back of each package and they come with a nail file as well.
1. Apply base coat
2. Pick the size of the nail wrap that fits to your nail and place it on the nail from the bottom up and smooth it out do its no sir pockets.
3. Use the nail file and simply file off the excess nail (that is beyond the tip of you nail) make sure to file downward. Repeat steps 1-3 for all nails or how ever many nails you decide to do.
4. Then lady but not least put on your top coat, and BAM you have a fresh looking mani in ten minutes or less.
These are the only nail wraps I've tried and I love them they lady up to two weeks but they give you enough to do at lest two manicures. Also I haven't tried it yet but I think they will work on the feet too. I'll definitely will do a post when I do out them on my feet.
Have you tried any nail wraps? And if do how do you like them.
Here is the website to NCLA nail wraps.

Confidence is Key
Hello fellow closet shoppers,
A part of fashion and some of you may not know this is having confidence in what you wear. If you don't have confidence in what you wear trust me it will show and you definitely don't want that to show because it will take away from your fit! One thing I always say "You wear the clothes the clothes don't wear you!" Some people can relate to this and some may not but I'm here to try and help you all to relate. Whenever your stepping out no matter where you are going always walk with confidence and know that you are beautiful and your fit looks good. Keep that head up, arch that back walk with that mean stride well you don't have to do all that lol but, you catch my drift.
I know sometimes friends and family may say things to deter us from wearing certain things but if you feel good about it and know you look good in it then embrace what your wearing to the fullest.
Remember you wear the clothes they don't wear you!
Until next time,
xoxo

Comfy Brunch Wear
Hello closet shoppers,
Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was cool had a bday brunch and dinner to go to so that topped my weekend off :).
Here's what I wore to brunch.
Sweater - Nasty Gal
Leather blazer - (old) Kenneth Cole
Pants - urban outfitters
Shoes Nine West
I love floral pants (you all know I love prints) and these are my one and only pair that I love so much, so trust this won't be the last you see of them. But since I was going to brunch I wanted to be comfortable since most brunches are buffet, it's a lot of getting up and walking around you have to do just to get your food and these were the perfect pants for the occasion. I'm really into comfort and roomy clothes now a days so tight isn't always the option. So when shopping or looking through your closet make sure you have some loose fitting pants and not just tight because we all have those days where we want to be cute but still comfy and tight isn't always cute! Are you into comfort and loose fitting clothes?
Hope you like my fit please comment below!

Best to go to a thrift store if you don't have or already because they are very pricey in the stores.

Sunday Dinner
Hello closet shoppers, Happy Monday!! Sorry I have been slacking with my post just had a busy work week last week but nonetheless I am back. Yesterday I had a surprise bday dinner to go to for one of my home boys birthday! Here's what I wore:
Sweater/Blazer - Nasty Gal
Pants - Urban Outfitters
Shoes - Nine West
Necklace - HRH Collection
You all know I love color so I had to put that pop of color on with my blazer since I just didn't want to wear black & white. A colored blazer can always add the finisjing touches to an outfit or even a black blazer for that matter. The pants I've had for awhile now but have never worn them so figured dinner would be the best place since i wanted to be a little dressy but casual. Do you own tuxedo pants? If u don't its definitely worth getting a pair because there is so much you can do with them. And as for my sweater well who doesn't love a printed sweater I fell in love with this because I love tiger print as well as a the face of a tiger also it gave me such a vintage feel so I had to have it.
Here are two at a good price at Urban Outfitters

Recap/Don't be Scared
Hello fellow closet shoppers,
Hope your having a great week so far. I just wanted to recap my looks from last week which were mostly mixing prints and adding color. I am a person who just love color in which you will see once i put up more post, but to you ladies that are scared to add color and prints in your wardrobe now is the time to step outside your comfort zone and put a little color in the mix. It's time to take out that colored top/blazer/skirt you been pushing to the back of your closet and put it in rotation with your go to items. Leggings are always a sure way to easliy pair a colored top/tank with and throw a blazer on with it, or maybe you have a colored blazer you can put on with a white tank and black leggings just for the starters. If you want to mix a print with a color black and white stripe as i showed you last week is like a base when wanting to wear color with a print even if the print isn't stripe if its black and white you can definetly add in that colored top/skirt/jacket. Black and white together go with any and every color so don't be afraid to wear that bright color with black and white i will assure you will get compliments especially if color is soemthing you don't always wear.
One of my followers Lisha sent me a pic of her mixing prints and she says she has never mixed prints but wanted to try it out since i posted my outfit of mixing prints last week. I love how she mixed her black and white prints and then put in a little color. What do you think of her mixed prints? I would love to see your mixed prints please don't hesitate to email me a pic of you mixing your prints and i will feature you on my blog. Remember to never be scared to try something new.

I Love Stripes!
Hello my fellow closet shoppers,
As you all know I've been celebrating my girls bday all week and my gift to her was tickets for us to see Erykah Badu at The Fillmore in MD. The concert was amazing I love E. Badu, she sung songs from her "Baduizm" album and it sure took me back in time. If she is coming to your city it's a must you see her she puts on a great show.
So this week I have been wearing a lot of stripes and I just can't get enough of them! I just love stripes especially black and white, It's so easy to put a look together with a stripe for me especially adding a little color. Stripes are another easy way to mix prints as well.
I wore stripe pants from urban outfitters a bday gift to myself, yellow tank from American Apparel, vintage polka dot blazer from www. Kevinhadden.com, necklace from www. Hrhcollection.com, and shoes from Nine West (old)
I'm always looking for new styles and different ways to do my hair and I tried this front side braid on my hair for the concert and I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?
Until next time, I hope you enjoy my post.
Xoxo,
